Bed time friend

When we put Emmy to bed she was alone. . . when I went in to kiss her goodnight she had a friend sleeping with her. I love that she didn't just get the doll to sleep with her, but the dolly's bed too!
Side note: my Dad made this bed for my sister and I to play with. It's out of PVC pipe and canvas. I can't beleive it's 30 years old and that my daughter plays with it!

Ballet Class

Yesterday Emmy started her ballet class. She has been looking forward to it for weeks and has been showing me her ballet (she pronounces it ba-let with a soft t). She finally got to put on her "people" leatard, slippers and go to class. She was excited and liked it at first and then about half way into it decided that she couldn't do it and was hungry. She was so cute when she was doing it though! Hopefully next week will be better!

She was supposed to have her legs outstreaed while she did this, but she tucked them in so it would be easier!

Emmy's First Hair Cut

That's right, she's 3 and is just having her first hair cut. Not that it was really long, but it was kind of crazy and out of control, so we went to have it cut. She did a great job sitting still for the lady. She didn't complain or cry and even liked it! I think she's going to grow up to enjoy being pampered! I was actually surprised by how much hair was on the floor. I didn't think she had that much!
She enjoyed getting her hair washed and massaged!
How cute is this picture!

All done! Our cute little girl!

Emmy's first date!

Last night I had a Young Women's thing to attend and Shaun decided to go on a date with Emmy! He called her on his way home from work and told her he had a surprise for her. He told her that just the two of them were going to go on a date. To dinner and a movie at the theatre. She was so excited and started jumping up and down! They went to Panda Express and then went to see Hotel for Dogs. The highlight of the evening (for me) was that Shaun had to take Emmy to the Men's bathroom. As soon as she saw the urinal she said "Daddy, what's that?" He told her it was for boys and tried to brush it off, but she kept asking questions. "Do you sit on it?" He just kept telling her it was for boys and got her out of there as soon as he could! Emmy had a great time with her Daddy and says she wants to go on another date with him!
