Am I Crazy???

Am I crazy or just the coolest Aunt in the whole world? My niece is a HUGE Jonas Brother's fan and with the movie coming out this weekend I thought it would be fun to take her to the MIDNIGHT showing (the opening show) last night. So I took three 13 year old girls to the Jonas Brother's 3D Concert Experience.

Let me just say that I think I'm crazy for a couple of reasons, 1. ticket prices were almost double that of a regular movie on opening night, 2. Opening showings of movies are ALWAYS crazy! and 3. What is a 30+ year old woman doing at a Jonas Brothers movie at midnight (who isn't the mother of one of the kids there)!

So, we plan on going, I buy the tickets and the girls tell me they want to go at 9:30 so they can get in line and make sure they get a good seat! That's 2 1/2 hours before the movie starts! Oh, well, I'm being the cool aunt remember!

Thankfully my good deed was rewarded! There were only about 75 people in the theatre. Granted most of them were screaming little girls, but it wasn't as crazy as I imagined it would be. It was like being at a JB concert in a small venue. The 3D was pretty cool and I actually jumped a couple of times. I was surprised that some of the "mom's" were crazier about the JB than most of the kids. How do you get like that?? One parent even brought a group of girls wearing tiara's in a Limo. Really? A Limo for a movie? I was just hoping that it was one of the girls' birthday or something . . . Overall it was entertaining, educational and fun evening. I hope that either I'm that cool when Emmy gets bigger or that Allison will return the favor! When I got into bed at 2:30 am I thought, I am crazy!

Our Little American Idol!

Emmy loves to watch singing and dancing shows with me. We watch Dancing with the Stars, ABDC, and American Idol. Today I was watching the recording of American Idol from Wednesday (It's been a busy week!) and she picked up a baseball bat and started to sing along with the contestants. She is just so funny and she LOVES to sing, she even makes up her own songs! Great Job Emmy!

One other funny Emmy story, my Mom gave her a hand me down barbie doll that is literally as big as Emmy. My Mom had been telling her that the doll needed and name and offered some suggestions. Emmy didn't like any of the suggestions. So as we were getting in the car to come home the doll was sitting in the seat next to Emmy (with her seat belt on) and Emmy turned to her and said "What's your name?" then turned to me and said "She doesn't talk!". I started laughing so hard I couldn't believe it. She finally decided that the doll's name is Barbie. She is so hilarious!

More Snow pics

Emmy was really funny with the snow. She finally "warmed" up to the snow. She asked me to get her boots on and make "Emmy prints" in the snow. When ever she makes food prints that's what she calls them. Then she dragged Abby along so she could make Abby prints too! They waled all along the grass making their mark on the snow. Now Emmy keeps asking her Dad if the snow can come again. He emphatically says "NO!"

Not a good way to wake up! :)

Just kidding, it was actually a little nice. Shaun is wondering why he moved to Southern Arizone. He came to AZ to get away from the snow and it has snowed every year since we have been here! Emmy's face lit up and she wanted to go touch it. She touched/looked at snow for about 10 minutes and then was ready to come inside because she was too cold. When we came in she asked if she could watch a movie. I said "sure, what movie do you want to watch?" She replied "Frosty the Snowman"! She really makes me laugh sometimes!

Update

Ok, so I know I have been neglecting the blog, but there really hasn't been that much exciting in our lives! So, here's a little update. I just had a birthday and thankfully don't feel any older!

Emmy is in the process of potty training and is doing pretty good, but I can't get her to poop in the potty! I also think that she has accidents on purpose sometimes just to drive me crazy!

This past week the Gem show has been going on. One of my favorite things to do in Tucson! I went 4 times last week and loved every minute of it! Hopefully I'll make it back at least 1 more time this week. Beads, beads and more beads!

Shaun has been excited because he got a 50 gallon fish tank! We have 22 fish in there and he loves it! Abby and Emmy love to watch the fish too! Hopefully I'll have some pictures soon!
