We had our pictures taken a couple of weeks ago, but I'm finally getting them up! We had a great Christmas and hope you did too!

Gingerbread House

This year I attempted to make a gingerbread house from real gingerbread for the first time. It didn't turn out to bad and Emmy really enjoyed making it. While we were making it she kept saying, "This is the best Christmas Ever" and that she was "Grateful for her parents". What a sweet, loving little girl (sometimes)! :) It's definitely not perfect, but I think it turned out ok. We even have 3 little people one for each of us. Now Emmy can't wait to eat it!!

The Biosphere 2

We had some visitors come the end of November and we decided to take a trip out to the Biosphere 2. (what's Biosphere 1 you might ask? Well, it's the Earth!) It was just recently named to Time Magazines 50 must see places in the World. It was interesting to learn and amazing to see the architecture and what went into building it. Emmy was a little bored, but she did well and was a trooper throught the hour long tour. Now just 49 more places to see! :) yeah right!

Happy Halloween!

We had a great halloween! Emmy was a cute pink puppy dog. It was fitting since she has now taken to pretending that she is a dog, ALL the time! We did a little trick or treating, but she was done pretty quick and was asking to go home. I guess I should be grateful for that since I'm sure it won't always be that way. :) Hope you had a great one too!

Pumpkins!

We had a great time carving pumpkins yesterday. Emmy was really into it and amlost did her whole pumpkin! She wouldn't stick her hand in it and did NOT want to get dirty, but she liked poking and cutting. What's strange is that she did like getting her hands dirty to clean the seeds with me.

Our Garden

Over Labor day we started a garden. I was worried because I have a BLACK thumb, but it has turned out great. Everything has sprouted and it's been really fun for Emmy to watch things grow. The last picture is our garden today! I am happy to report that we will be having tacos for dinner tonight and using our own grown cliantro and lettuce. Can't wait! Oh, the satisfaction!!!

Joey's Birthday

Joey had his birthday party a few weeks ago. The kids had a great time. It was also the first time that we had all 5 of the grandkids together. Enjoy some pictures!

Writing already!!!

I think I mentioned that Emmy can spell her name, well now she can write it! She's doing really good learning to trace her letters and numbers and can now do her name all by herself. Not bad for a 3 year old!! What a smart little girl!

We are currently getting a pretty good rain at our house and my parents always tell Emmy to go play in it and get wet. SO, today she did!

New Cousin!

Emmy has been so excited to have a new cousin and he finally came! Gabriel Louis Wilson was born 8/19/09 and weighed 8 lbs 7 oz. Mom and baby are doing great!

Emmy's New Room . . . finally!

We started changing Emmy's room from a nursery to a little girls room in January. It took me 7 months, but we are finally done and I couldn't be happier on how it turned out. It's sooooooo cute! Emmy loves it and will tell you that her room is beautiful!

The flowers on the wall are actually wood that I painted in the colors and stuck on there with putty. It's neat because it add some dimension to the room.

I couldn't resist this sign. It says "You are my Sunshine" and I've called her sunshine since she was a baby.

I was so excited about the words. I used my cricut machine to cute them out and the desing too! I found the flower at Hobby Lobby and it went perfectly!

Preschool!

Emmy's getting so big! Today is her first day of preschool. I just dropped her off and she did great! Today they were supposed to wear red. We don't have much red, so we had to go with the red hat. She is so cute! What to do with my little bit of spare time?! Isn't she cute?

I just had to post this. My niece Allison is learning how to sew and made this dress for Emmy. It's only the second thing she's made and Emmy wore it to church yesterday. Isn't it cute! Great job Allison!

What a good Daddy!

I have been neglecting the blog a little bit, but we have been so busy the past month. I will slowly get us back up to speed!

A few weeks ago Emmy wanted her nails painted and I was trying to hurry to get somewhere, so I asked her Daddy to do it. He reluctantly did it and she loved it. It was so cute that I had to take some time to snap some pictures! He did a great job. Oh the joys of having a girl! Shaun's a great Dad!
