Our Sunday

After a very busy weekend this is our Sunday:

She wore "tony tails" to church today and looked so cute! This is the first time they were in the back of her head instead of on top! Hooray it only took 3 years!

Then after church we were eating dinner and I looked over and saw this:

She was really tired I guess!

Fun at the Fair!

I love the pima county fair! Being there brings back great memories from growing up. Last night we took Emmy and had a really good time! It was amazing to us how much she has grown up. She was riding on the rides all by herself! She's still a little cautious, but had a really good time and I don't think there was a ride she didn't like. Shaun and I even rode some rides too! I got him on the ferris wheel, which is a big deal because he's afraid of heights (thanks to his brother), we did the zipper (for old time's sake) and a new one for me called the Cliff Hanger (I loved it!). Potty training help please!

I need help from all you expericenced Moms! Emmy decided (on her own)a little while ago that she was done with diapers. She basically trained her self to go pee pee in the toilet. Horray for me! I thought this was going to be easy, but . . . I can't get her to poop in the toilet! She is doing great with pee, and even wakes up from naps and night time dry. I have tried eveything I can think of, bribery, coaxing, even letting her go naked. I can tell when she's going and she knows when she has to go, but when I catch her and try to get her to go to the toilet she cries! Yesterday I caught her and took her pants off and she cried asking me for a pull up. We did this while in the bathroom! I finally caved and put one on her and she pooped in it standing next to the toilet! I don't know what else to do and I am tired of cleaning poop off of panties! It's GROSS! I guess there is one silver lining though . . . at least she's not holding it for days! I apologize if this entry is a little gross, but I need help! Got any suggestions?

Easter Fun!

We had a great Easter weekend! It started at the park for an Easter egg hunt hosted by a local church. They do a good job and the kids have a lot of fun. Joey was able to join us this year and Emmy loved having him around. Then we came home and colored eggs. Emmy thought it was so great and kept wanting to do them! Easter morning she was excitied to get her basket and find the eggs that were hidden. She also really liked the note that the Easter bunny left her. We capped off the morning by watching a video called "He is Risen". We hope you had a great Easter too!

My favorite part . . .

Well, March Madness has ended and it brings a tear to my eye. . . it will be a long 4 months with no sports! I thought that I would share with you my favorite part of the tournament. . . "One Shining Moment". For those of you not familiar with college basketball at the end of each championship game they show a video to this song from that years tournament. For some reason each year when I watch it, it gets me a little misty-eyed and choked up! I'm not ashamed to admit it! :) Enjoy this years!
