Temple LIghts

Yesterday we had the opportunity to go to the Temple and do Baptisms. Afterwards we were able to walk around the Temple and see all of the beautiful lights. Emmy thought it was pretty and wanted to touch them. She really liked the manger scene and shepard scene's that they have. I am so looking forward to Christmas this year with her!

Emmy's First Haircut

It took 2 years and 8 months, but we finally had to give Emmy a haircut! Well, we didn't actually have to, but it was looking really scragally in the back and decided it would look better if we did. She did really well and let Grammy cut it. She looks so cute now and I'm hoping that it will promote growth!

Alone time in Bisbee!

Shaun and I took a much needed little vacation and headed to Bisbee Arizona. It's a cute little old west town about an hour and a half south of Tucson. The hotel we stayed in is 104 years old! It's all wood and really cute, oh and by the way, it's HAUNTED! Bisbee was known for the copper mines that closed in 1975. We were able to go on a tour of one of the old copper mines, and I don't know how people work like that. Made me grateful for everything I have that uses copper! :) The highlight of our trip was a ghost tour that we took. It's amazing how many stories of ghosts that there are. I must admit that I did have a little trouble sleeping that night after all the stores and knowing that our room was close to one of them! Fortunately we did not encounter any ghosts! It was asweome to spend some time alone and celebrate Shaun's birthday! There's a new ghost tour in Tucson . . . anyone interested in going???

I caved!

Well, I finally caved and I gave into peer pressure! I read Twilight! I had been resisting since I college ruined the joy of reading for me, but I was finally talked into reading the book that EVERYONE has been buzzing about for months! And to top it all off I did it in one day! Amazing to me since I have Emmy around. It was good and I did enjoy it, but I"m not so sure that reading is something that I should do often since not much else got done yesterday! I will have to finish the series though . . . Now I'm officially one of the club!

Wild About the Cats!

Last year everytime she would see a basketball game she would say Go Cats! It was really cute and funny. This year I taught her to say "Wild about the Cats!" She even shouts in through her megaphone. It is VERY cute. We capped off a busy week by going to support the Arizona basketball team and attended the Red & Blue game. It was a lot of fun to see the players up close and get a feel for the team. I enjoyed it VERY MUCH. Emmy really liked Wilbur and watching the cheerleaders. We had a great time. I know with all that has happened already with the basketball team this year, it could be a long season, but I still say that our family is WILD ABOUT THE CATS!

She looks shy in this picture, but she really
did like Wilbur and kept wanting to see him

Our happy family proudly supporting the Wildcats. I have
sucessfully turned Shaun into a fan too!
