Sprinkler Fun!

It's that time of year (meaning it's getting hot so we have to do something to keep cool! Ok, it's not that hot yet, but it's getting there!) so today we let Emmy play in the sprinkler that she got from Grandma Gomez. She was scared at first but then after Daddy showed her the right way to run in the sprinkler's she was all in! She had a great time getting all wet. She's getting so big!

Pima County Fair

We took Emmy to the Pima County fair for Family Home Evening on Monday. She had a lot of fun as you can see. She loved the rides and getting to see all of the animals. It was a really fun evening!

Do you like my hat?

Emmy loves her Papa. She loves him because he gives her lots of attention! This past Tuesday they were playing outside and she realized that she didn't have her hat on (yes I have trained her well!). She came in to ask for her hat and I am not in summer mode yet, so I didn't have one with me. But, Papa came to the rescue and lent her one if his. Don't they look so cute? She even wanted to borrow it and bring it to her house. We didn't bring it and about half way home she started crying because we didn't have the hat!

Go Dog Go!

Emmy's new favorite book is Dr. Suess' Go Dog Go! It was given to her for Christmas by Allison. We read it so much that she can now read it with you. And, if you ask her if she likes your hat she will tell you "Good by". You need to read the book to understand that reference. Here's Emmy and Daddy reading it. As you can see she is very into the story. She loves to read books, especially with Daddy!

Just like Mommy . . .

So, lately Emmy has done some pretty funny things. The other day while vacuuming I managed to suck up a computer mouse. While I had the vacuum on the floor assessing the damage Emmy went to get her screwdriver so she could help me fix it. After she checked it out she turned to me and said "Good job Mama!" I couldn't help but laugh.

Today I was also amused when she moved her chair to the exact position that she wanted, told her doll to sit there and positioned her just the way she wanted her and went to get her camera. Like mother, like daughter she told the doll to say happy and took a picture! It was so cute!
